How to fish it

Cover water on the crown and edges. Trout pin bait on this mid-bay shell when the west flats get bright.

Broad oyster reef in west Copano near Bayside. Named for its footprint. A go-to when a southeast wind lays bait on the west side.

Late spring to late fall.

Prop hazard. Idle the last 100 yards. Pole or Power-Pole on the edge — do not plane over the crown. Haynie Cat 23 floats it; the gearcase will not.
